    Crich Tramway Museum

This post contains some more the the pictures I took at the Crich Tramway Museum when we visited recently. They were all taken with a Pentax K5 DSLR and either a Sigma 18-125 HSM zoom or a Tamron 10-24 Super Wide angle zoom. Unfortunately, the day we visited was quite cold and grey, so most of the pictures I took were lit by cloudy skies, but there was still enough light to use reasonably low ISO settings, and even get...

    Some views of Lincoln city

We have been away on holiday to Lincolnshire for a week and spent a couple of days in Lincoln City centre. While we were there I spent lots of time taking pictures with my Fuji X-T1 mirror-less fitted with both the 18-135mm zoom lens I purchased with it and my Tamron 10-24mm pentax k-mount super wide angel lens. A selection of the pictures I took are included below. Pictures of Lincoln City We found Lincoln to be a very beautiful...

    Tattershall castle in Lincolnshire

A couple of days ago we went to the National Trust’s Tattershall Castle in Lincolnshire while they had a battle re-enactment and I used it as an opportunity to take pictures with both my Fuji X-T1 mirror-less and Pentax MZ-3 35mm slr loaded with colour slide film.  Although it will be  few days before I can get the colour slides developed from the MZ-3, one of the best of the Fuji X-T1 pictures is included below. Tattershall Castle This picture...

    Gunby hall National Trust property

Today we visited the Gunby Hall national trust property in Lincolnshire and below is one of the better pictures I took during our visit. This picture was taken using my Fuji X-T1 mirror-less camera and a Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5 super wide angle lens. The lens, which is pentax K mount, was fitted to the camera body with a simple adapter which allowed me to adjust the aperture, although I couldn’t tell the actual aperture used. Fortunately because it was a...

    Snowshill Manor National Trust pictures

When we stayed in Gloucestershire recently one of the places we visited was Snowshill Manor house which is a national trust property and this post has a collection of photos which I took whilst we were there. Snowshill Manor Pictures I actually took two cameras with me on the visit to snowshill – my Pentax K5 DSLR, and a Minolta 505si super 35mm film camera fitted with a standard minolta 28 – 80 kit zoom. Each of the pictures shown...

    Dover's Hill in Gloucestershire

This is a post with some pictures of The National Trust’s Dover’s Hill in Gloucestershire which I took on a recent visit there. We only stayed a few minutes at this viewpoint over the Gloucestershire countryside, so I didn’t get many pictures, but these were my favourite of the 20 or so I took. A couple of these shots were actually constructed from 3 images taken using the camera’s bracketing function and merged using Lightroom’s new ‘merge to HDR’ function...
