    Weekly Challenge: Horizon 2

This is my second post in the weekly challenge, but essentially the same subject – Sea & Sky. This picture was taken in Sherringham using a Pentax K-r and a Tamron 10-24mm Super Wide angle lens set to it’s widest 10mm setting. Weekly photo challenge: Horizon

this week’s weekly challenge is Horizons. I always see that word in it’s literal sense and think of the line between the sea and the sky. I therefore submit this picture as my interpretation of Horizons. I took this picture a couple of years ago with a Pentax K200D and a pentax 18-55 Standard Kit lens. The location is Wells-next-the-sea in Norfolk. Because the lens was set to the full telephoto setting I had to increase the iso quite a bit to enable me to hand hold the...

    Minehead beach in summer

When we were on holiday in Somerset this summer we took a trip on the West Somerset Steam Railway and spent a lunchtime on Minehead beach. This summer (2012) was a disaster weather wise and the day we went to Minehead, 8th August was no different. There was persistent drizzle and all over grey cloud so I wasn’t hopeful of taking any memorable pictures, but as it turned out I took one of my favourite images when I snapped this bunch of...
