Macro photography – Small golden dragonfly

Dragonflies have alway been a problem for me to photograph, so I am particularly pleased that I managed to get quite close to a small golden dragonfly today when I had my specialist macro lens fitted to my Sony Nex 6. I’m not sure of the species, but I found this dragonfly sitting on the end of a stick which was acting as a stake for a small tree. Normally if I find a dragonfly sitting anywhere it will be...

    Macro picture of Chives

    Bury my head

I went out with my Tamron 90 mm Lens again today to try to get some Butterfly pictures. The weather forecast had suggested that it was going to be warm and sunny today, but in the end it was quite cold and windy so I didn’t find any butterflies at all. I did find this chap however nestling under a buttercup leaf, trying to keep warm perhaps ? Tamron 90mm F/2.8 Pentax K-5 f/4.0 1/500 iso320
