    Visit to Wells Cathedral

On our holiday to Somerset in the summer we stayed  in Wookey Hole, which is only a couple of miles from the City of Wells. During one of the frequent wet days we paid a visit to Wells Cathedral. Although I’m not particularly interested in religious buildings, I am always interested in a photographic subject so I set out with my Pentax K-5, a tamron 10 – 24mm super wide angle and a Sigma 18-125 HSM ‘walk-about’ zoom. I was interested in taking a variety of picture – family shots, beach scenes nature shots etc. James had brought his cricket set and Emma had a bucket and spade so after a quick game of cricket...

    A visit to Knebworth House

This post describes a visit to Knebworth house which we took as a family visit Sunday 27th June 2010. We choose that day because it was the day that England were playing Germany in the 2010 world cup so we knew that there was a chance that there would be less people about. I also took the opportunity to take some photographs. Sunday 27th was a very hot day and we set out at about 11:15. James and Emma were excited about...
