Favourite pictures – Eddie

While we were visiting Gloucestershire recently we went to Bourton-on-the-Water to visit the model village there. As we were walking through the village I saw this dog playing in the water and stopped to get a few pictures of him. Although I don’t know the dog’s actual name, for the purposes of this post I’ve called him Eddie because to me he looked like an Eddie.

I took this with my Sigma 18-125 HSM zoom fitted to the Pentax K5 and opened the aperture as wide as it would go at the 125mm end to maximize the background defocus. I also applied some cropping in Lightroom to remove some distractions which were un-avoidable at the time I took the picture.
