The pebble beach

This picture was taken at National Trust Dunwich nature reserve on the Suffolk coast. We visited during our Suffolk holiday and James & Emma spent a couple of hours playing on the pebbles whilst I walked around taking pictures. This was another picture taken with the soligor 28mm which became a bit of a work horse during that trip. I haven’t calculated but I would guess that I probably took half my pictures with that lens fitted to the camera.

In retrospect, having looked at the picture in Lightroom in a bit more detail, I think it would have been a better image if I’d closed the aperture another stop or two so that the whole picture was in focus. That’s a lesson to learn for another time.

  • f/4.0 ?

I’m a software developer by profession but I’ve been taking pictures since I was about 8 years old. In that time I’ve owned cameras of all types and sizes from 120 roll film thro’ 35mm to my current Pentax K-5, Ricoh GXR + P10/S10/A12 28mm/A12 50mm, Canon S95 and recently acquired Sony NEX 6.
