This is a picture of the countryside around Frosterley in County Durham, taken on a sunny day in August this year.

Looking back to our holiday cottage

On the Thursday of our holiday in County Durham we went on a Walk called ‘In Search of Frosterley Marble’ which started just outside our holiday cottage and went round some beautiful countryside for about 3 hours before bringing us back home. Naturally I took my camera and a variety of lenses with me so I could get as many pictures as possible. Most of the time I fitted my 10-24mm Tamron super wide angle zoom and this was one of the first pictures I took, looking back towards our holiday cottage.

I’ll probably post a few more pictures from this walk over the course of the next few days.

I did some post processing in Lightroom adjusting the exposure slightly, bosting the colours and clarity a bit and adding some sharpening.

  • Pentax K5
  • Tamron 10-24mm
  • 200 iso
  • f/9.0
  • 1/400sec
  • 12.5mm
