This is the Cathedral at Durham viewed from the bank of the River Wear.

During our holiday in the North East of England we spent a day walking round the City of Durham and discovered the walk along the river which gives great views of the Cathedral. Of all the shots I took that day, this is one of my favourites. It was taken at 18mm using a Sigma 18-125 HSM zoom fitted to my Pentax K5.

In post processing I followed my usual process, and also added a graduated filter from the top corner to reduce some over exposure in the sky.

  • Pentax K5
  • Sigma 18-125 HSM
  • iso 200
  • 18mm
  • f/7.1
  • 1/200 sec
