The engine Shed

This is another picture I took during our recent holiday in the North East of England.

We went on a couple of trips to the Beamish museum and this was taken in the Engine shed using a high ISO setting of 1600 ISO. I converted it to Black & White in Lightroom because the scene seemed to suggest B & W rather than colour. Considering the ISO used I think the technical quality of the image is pretty good.

In Lightroom I had to drop the highlights to remove some over exposure from the window in the back wall and increase the shadow slider to recover some detail in the shadows. I then applied a little bit of noise reduction and sharpening before I exported it.

  • Pentax K-5
  • Tamron 10-24mm Super Wide Angle
  • F/6.3
  • 1/50 sec
  • iso 1600
  • 12.5mm
