The Princess Diana Memorial Fountain

On a day in London in 2012, we walked round Hyde Park and visited the Princess Dian Memorial Fountain, which is pictured here.

Because I’d not seen it before, in my mind’s eye, I think I expected it to be a more traditional fountain, but it is in reality a moulded concrete stream with different widths and water flows in a large oval shape.

Even so, it was quite impressive to see and my Daughter Emma had great fun paddling in it which seemed to be a common activity on the bright sunny day we were there.

I’m a software developer by profession but I’ve been taking pictures since I was about 8 years old. In that time I’ve owned cameras of all types and sizes from 120 roll film thro’ 35mm to my current Pentax K-5, Ricoh GXR + P10/S10/A12 28mm/A12 50mm, Canon S95 and recently acquired Sony NEX 6.

    Lovely shot.

    1. Thanks – I have some more from the same series which I’ll put up one day soon.

  2. I love how it curves into the distance
