This is a picture of  Wells Cathedral in Somerset, as seen from The Bishops Palace in Wells, which I took on a recent holiday in the region.

It was a murky day when I took this picture in August 2012 and that is obviously captured in the picture. It would have made a more attractive image, if there had been a touch of blue in the sky, but there are at least some nice reflections in the pond and I’m quite happy with the way the trees frame the picture.

The picture was taken in RAW and processed in Lightroom; the other picture metadata is :

  • Camera: Pentax K-5
  • Lens: Tamron 10-24mm
  • Shutter: 1/60sec
  • Aperture: f/11
  • ISO: 160
  • Focal Length: 14mm
