Inspiring St Nicholas Church in Stevenage

St Nicholas church - Stevenage
St Nicholas church – Stevenage

James and I took a trip to St Nicholas church in Stevenage to take some photographs earlier today. James took his Samsung point-n-shoot, took lots of photographs and tried to wander over the church grounds. I had to explain that we don’t walk over graves.

I found it difficult to get a good viewpoint of the church and couldn’t capture the full church with the spire from the front, road-side view even at  the widest setting of 16 mm. The shot shown here is the best image I got from the path which goes round the church to the modern graveyard at the back.

When we next go back I’m going to try from the road to get a better view.

I’m a software developer by profession but I’ve been taking pictures since I was about 8 years old. In that time I’ve owned cameras of all types and sizes from 120 roll film thro’ 35mm to my current Pentax K-5, Ricoh GXR + P10/S10/A12 28mm/A12 50mm, Canon S95 and recently acquired Sony NEX 6.
