Blickling Hall in late December

Today we went to Blickling Hall, a National Trust property in Norfolk, for a visit.

It was one of those really cold, but very clear days that you get in the winter with the sun very low in the sky which made the scenery beautifully lit up but also increased the possibility of flare if the sun made it into any of the shots. Unfortunately, I misread the website notification of the opening times so when we arrived, although the park and lake were open to walk around, the actual house was closed so we couldn’t sample the hot chocolate or get James and Emma’s national trust passports stamped. Still, I had a good time with my camera taking the pictures above.

All of these shots were taken with either a takumar 28mm f/3.5 or takumar 55mm f/1.8 fitted to my camdiox focal reducer. The raw shots were processed in Lightroom 5 before uploading. Use the gallery above to view the pictures or see the full sized versions here.
